Sanju Samson and MD Shami is not selected for T20 World Cup

Indian cricket board BCCI has announced the Indian squad for the T20 world cup, which will take place in Australia from 16th October 2022.

Indian Squad for T20 World cup is here

After announcing the squad, a mixed reaction is coming from the entire country. Indian Squad is largely among expected players only a few changes are made.

A large part of antigen is unhappy with excluding  Sanju Samson and MD Shami. Both of them were not part of the recently played Asia Cup.

Reason Behind exclusion of Sanju Samson

With Pant failing to score runs, Indian cricket fans expected Sanju Samson to be included alongside Dinesh Karthik as one of the two keepers on the side, although that didn't happen.

While the selectors focused on naming a different squad in almost every other series, Samson wasn't taking advantage of his chances unfailingly, which might have ended up forcing the selectors to look beyond him for this ICC event.

The reason behind the exclusion of MD Shami

We have seen both Harshal & Arshdeep are capable of restricting the opponent in death overs while BCCI believes Shami is mainly for tests and ODIs. Having good cutters and the ability to confuse batters would make Harshal Patel the ideal choice for this match. The management would hope that the team clicks this time and avoids humiliation.
