Warner Bros confirms film starring Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon, Michael Keaton, JK Simmons and Brendan Fraser won’t ever be released

Warner Bros releases statement on canceling Batgirl

“The decision to not release Batgirl reflects our leadership’s strategic shift as it relates to the DC universe and HBO Max. Leslie Grace is an incredibly talented actor... this decision is not a reflection of her performance" 

Warner Bros Discovery is ‘committed to making DC titles big theatrical event films, and ‘Batgirl’ isn’t that’

They plan to work with the directors and star again in the future but the film has been effectively canceled 

Deadline says Batgirl was in the final stages of post-production when it was canceled. 

Variety says #Batgirl was canceled so it could be a tax write-down. 

Some fans thinks, That’s messed up. If the movie is done let’s watch it. Hopefully someone jacks the film and post online then. The people who worked on this film and the actress deserve recognition.

If it’s pretty much done there’s literally no reason not to release it. They’ll lose more money if they don’t.

Regardless of how you feel about the DCEU, the cancellation of #Batgirl sucks. Leslie Grace was robbed of her moment. Everyone else involved, including Adil and Bilal, deserved better. It’s just more proof that Warner Bros. has no plan. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Batgirl will not have a premiere.  Since the executives of Warner with the restructuring after the purchase of Discovery look for the movies to be great movies for the big screen.  And Batgirl is not.

 This is how they freeze this project that cost 90 million dollars.

In SHOCKING news, Warner Brothers will no longer be releasing #Batgirl, which was set to release on HBO Max this year. 

The film has completed shooting and co-starred Michael Keaton as Batman and JK Simmons as Jim Gordon. It looks like big changes are being made at DC.
