Tata Motors buys Ford’s Sanand factory for 725 crores,Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd (TPEML),Ford India Pvt Ltd (FIPL)

 Tata bought US billion dollar Fort Sanand factory by 725 crores rupees;

In 2015, Fort opened the Sanand factory in Gujarat with a cost of Rs 6500 crore($91.5 million).

But Sanand was forced to sell the factory due to poor condition of Fort in the Indian market. And at that moment Tata bought the Sanand factory. It is reported that the Tata Sanon factory was opened to manufacture the Tata Nano. But as its production has stopped, Tata Tiago.Hazbek series and Tiago complete sedan series are working on the plan at that place and now it is known that Tata will take the initiative to make electric vehicles at this factory in Fort. Tata will have to spend extra money for this. Because Fort is capable of manufacturing electric vehicles as soon as this factory is developed.

"With our manufacturing capacity nearing saturation, this acquisition is timely and a win-win for all stakeholders," Tata Motors said in a statement.

And Tata ensures that none of Forte's employees will lose their jobs. Tata will repay the land and other debts owed by the fort. Most importantly, the purchase of this factory will increase Tata's production by over 450,000 vehicles per year.
