75 payloads "Azadisat" built with 750 school students to mark the 75th anniversary of independence. Student's who designed the satellite were also allowed to witness the launch of SSLV-D1 at the spaceport in Sriharikota.

"Three teams from our school participated in this SSLV launch. I am very happy that we got this opportunity. We really worked hard on it and today we will witness the launch of Azadisat satellite," said Shreya, a student from Telangana.

According to sources, the communication with the rocket was lost at around 10:40 this morning. ISRO confirmed by tweeting.

SSLV-D1/EOS-02 Mission: Maiden flight of SSLV is completed. All stages performed as expected. Data loss is observed during the terminal stage. It is being analysed. Will be updated soon.
