Nicole Aunapu Mann is the first Native American woman in space.If all goes according to SpaceX's plan, Nicole Anapu Mann will lead NASA's Crew-5 mission to the International Space Station next month, according to sources.
He became an astronaut once in 2013, according to NASA. Since then- the mission will be his first major mission. He will be the mission's commander and direct all aspects of the flight from launch to reentry. He will be the only person in space to serve as the Expedition 68 flight engineer.
Nicole Mann said “I feel very proud,” Mann told the outlet. “It’s important that we celebrate our diversity and really communicate that specifically to the younger generation.”

NASA's @SpaceX #Crew5 mission will send @AstroDuke and @astro_josh, JAXA astronaut @Astro_Wakata, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina to the @Space_Station no earlier than Sept. 29.
