Following the launch of "precise missile strikes" across the Taiwan Strait on Thursday, Chinese military drills have caused the highest levels of tension in the Taiwan Strait in decades.

According to earlier reports, Taiwan has stationed missile defense systems and naval ships in the Taiwan Strait to keep an eye on Chinese action. Chinese navy ships and military planes temporarily crossed the Taiwan Strait middle line on Thursday morning.
The autonomous island, which is regarded as Chinese property by Beijing, was visited yesterday by Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the US House of Representatives. After Pelosi's arrival, the commotion got going.

Live-fire exercises have been conducted by China throughout the exercises in six different places surrounding Taiwan. Taiwan has condemned the exercise, saying it violates United Nations rules and invades its territory.
