Andhra Pradesh Flood 2022

Andhra Pradesh Flood 2022! Due to 'Godavari'.

Top government officials in Andhra Pradesh told the Chief Minister in a discussion yesterday afternoon that "heavy rains in the neighboring states could increase the flow in the Godavari and put the people around the Godavari in danger."

So Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy was cautious from the beginning but was not the last to be saved. Heavy rains in Maharashtra, Telangana and Chhattisgarh washed away several villages on the banks of the Godavari in Andhra Pradesh.

The water at Dowleswaram Barrage near 'Raja Mahendraram' was 1 million cusecs. Last night it increased to 16 lakh cusecs. The water level in Polavaram reached 34.10 meters, forcing the authorities to leave 48 gates. Several villages in Andhra Pradesh's Kalasima district have been flooded as a result of the opening of the Polavaram and Dowleswaram barrage. The flash floods swept away a boat carrying 15 people on the river. Locals rescued 15 people in a hurry, but no casualties were reported.

The Chief Minister has announced to provide Rs 2 crore in several flooded districts.
